Project Hail Mary

Overview

Project Hail Mary is an immersive, browser-based simulation themed around Andy Weir's acclaimed sci-fi novel. Built with an Angular frontend and a FastAPI Python backend, it casts the user as the amnesiac protagonist, Dr. Ryland Grace, who wakes up alone on the Hail Mary spacecraft with no memory. Through a sleek dashboard UI, players interact with MED-COM — a Gemini AI-powered terminal — to piece together fragmented memories and unravel the mission. Simultaneously, they must manage critical ship systems including Astrophage fuel breeding, oxygen levels, CO2 venting, and spin drive navigation. Every decision matters as you race to complete the mission and save Earth.
